How we helped a sports charity to design a sustainable brand

With the return of face-to-face events BASIS hosted their Annual Conference at the sustainable Principality Stadium in Cardiff in May 2022. Our brief set by CEO Russell Seymour, was to design a simple set of marketing items to use for future events. With a set of brand guidelines, bespoke images and 12 Principles icons previously designed we were ready to develop their new brand for print.

We created a set of three different concepts for three roller banners to reflect the sports BASIS currently support and the 12 Principles icons we originally designed. Spending the time with the client to get the details and layout refined for the final designs is an important part of the process.

“Having worked with iD Creative to develop our new brand they were the obvious choice when we needed materials for our first in-person conference for a few years. iD Creative took time to get to know us as a client to understand our needs and how we want to be represented to our members, customers and clients. The service was end-to-end (including liaising with the printer) and communication was easy and responsive. I’m sure we will be working with iD Creative again.”

Final results

The chosen design maintained the forwards motion and direction BASIS want to convey with their image over the next decade. To reduce the amount of items printed they can be re-used for future events maintaining their sustainability. With dual usage as a backdrop when speakers are on stage or at an exhibition, it’s essential to keep the branding at the forefront of people’s minds. A net-zero UK printer Seacourt printed these onto sustainable materials without any compromise on the design. These items continue the sustainable theme to cut out waste in both time and materials. To help sustain your brand across your marketing your identity has to be consistent whatever channels your business uses.
