Designing a PerfectFit

How we helped a long standing client update their brand

We've been part of the PerfectFit Harness (formerly Dog Games) journey since 2013, witnessing their evolution from a passionate startup to a trusted name in pet well-being. This rebrand began with a simple need: the original logo wasn't scalable for print materials like brochures and exhibition displays. But as PerfectFit grew, so did their marketing needs - and we were right there with them.

PerfectFit harnesses are unique with their modular design ensures comfort for pets of all sizes. They're recommended by vets and rescue centres as an alternative to collar leads. This commitment to animal welfare is at the heart of their brand, and it's something we've worked hard to capture in their branding.

The challenge: From scalability to a consistent brand vision

Initially, our focus was on creating a logo that could be reproduced effectively across various mediums. However, as PerfectFit expanded, we recognised the need for a more comprehensive brand strategy. The rise of digital marketing, accelerated by the pandemic, made consistent branding across online platforms absolutely essential. Customers who were used to seeing PerfectFit at exhibitions needed to recognise them instantly online.

Our approach: Collaboration and communication

We believe that great design is a collaborative process. It starts with listening. We worked closely with the CEO and Marketing Manager at PerfectFit, asking questions, understanding their vision, and delving into the core values that make their brand unique. Design isn't just about aesthetics; it's about translating a company's essence into a visual language that resonates with its target audience.

We guided PerfectFit through the often-neglected development process, emphasising the importance of a two-way dialogue. This collaborative approach helped them realise the power of consistency across all digital platforms – from colour palettes and imagery to overall design language.

The solution: A scalable brand identity for a growing business

Our solution involved:

  • A scalable logo: We designed a clean and modern logo that could be reproduced flawlessly across all mediums, both print and digital.
  • A cohesive brand identity: Based on PerfectFit's values and target audience, we developed a comprehensive brand identity that encompassed colour palettes, typography, and imagery. This ensured a consistent look and feel across all marketing materials.
  • Digital brand development: We helped PerfectFit establish a strong online presence, ensuring their branding was consistent on different devices and platforms. This was crucial for reaching their customers who were increasingly engaging with the brand online.

The result: A brand that reflects PerfectFit's values

We're proud to have played a role in PerfectFit's growth. Their brand now reflects their commitment to animal welfare, their innovative product design, and their dedication to customer satisfaction.
